Laser drilling

The lab is equipped with a laser drilling to machine the sample chamber in pre-idented gaskets made in a rehnium or stainless-steel foil. Using a high precision rotation stage combined with a pico-second laser, we can fabricate holes of 200 micrometres down to 30 micrometres where the sample will be placed for the high-pressure experiment.
